ACCOUNTANT

A reputed Paint manufacturing firm based in Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a dedicated Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently by verifying necessary documentation and supporting. 

Reconcile intercompany accounts and handle discrepancies. 

Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available. 

Manage accounting functions including maintenance of payables ledger, validation of accounts payable vouchers after checking with purchase orders for all vendors.

Filing VAT return and other tax related matter. 

Ensure accuracy of accounts i.e. correct coding of vendor/customer, cost center, general ledger account, invoice amount, and preparing bank payment vouchers.

Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. 

Act as a liaison between the company and external auditors to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes.

Review and maintain accounting documents together i.e. voucher, invoice, delivery note and purchase order copy/agreement copy.

Ensure payments are made within terms to avoid late fees or penalties.

Maintain accurate records of all payments and transactions.

Review cheques and bank transfers for invoices provided by vendors, reviewing instructions accompanying items to determine proper disposition and crediting accounts in accordance with standard procedures.

Provide all other information and perform all other tasks as and when requested.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting.

Minimum 2 years of UAE experience as an accountant.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

Proficiency in MS Excel and other ERP software (e.g., SAP knowledge is an advantage)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Location: Al Jazeera Al Hamra Industrial Area, RAK
