Regional support manager

Job Purpose: To provide full support to the Line Manager and the regional General Managers by providing analytics that will positively impact the Sales, Revenue and Contribution of the regions. Assist the support the regions of the business and market trends to constantly refresh and align the overall business strategy of the regional department.   Accountabilities: Sales and revenue - Assist the General Manager in achieving the Sales and Revenue target for the respective regions by proactively using analytical thinking to drive efficiencies, productivity, and to find opportunities to enhance the overall business. Recommend any corrective measures that need to be considered in a timely and effective manner. Collaborate with the other Regional Support Managers to provide full-range of support to the region such as:- GDS optimization - SI optimization - Network sourcing optimization - CV vetting - Process re-engineering - Collaborate with the General Manager and the regional team to get a better understanding of the business operations, market segmentations, and product mix to better support and implement new initiatives. As a result, recommend to the Line Manager the roll-out of new verticals that will drive the business on all levels. Brand and product -  Review the existing brands, products and services to ensure continuous contribution to the business. Identify new business opportunities and assist in launching new products, brands, and business verticals. Track competitor activity evaluate market intelligence and recommend corrective measures to the Line manager and General manager. Day to day - Provide a standard business performance reports to Line Managers to help enhance and monitor performance. Identify key issues to the Line Manager and provide subject specific reports that highlight the key drivers which impact service standards, operational efficiency and improve profitability. - Liaise regularly with internal and external departments to resolve issues raised by regional offices and through proactive interactions with the business. Leverage and build synergies across all departments to maximize productivity and support the respective region. - Track the performance of regional operations on a monthly basis, to ensure that the region’s performance is in line with the agreed plan and ensure there are no commercial discrepancies. - Constantly review operational processes and procedures to ensure that it is in line with group standards, corporate governance, and the market’s trends. - Support regional offices and line manager by: -  Preparing business cases and tracking the performance to ensure targeted returns are achieved. -  Run and review a productivity report to highlight the performance for all of the verticals of the business and come up with corrective actions. -  Review board presentations received from the regional offices and ensure standard reporting is followed and that all key items are addressed to the board for necessary approvals /resolutions Field of expertise - Assist the Line Manager in the implementation plans of the projects to ensure that they are completed timely and effectively. - Provide support and recommend initiatives to the Line Manager and all the regional offices in the respective field of expertise (commercial, operations, and processes); to strengthen the business and to ensure the agreed budget strategy is being followed and delivered.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Graduate in a Business related discipline Experience: Commercial/Sales/Other 5+ Years Travel industry experience Experience in development/deployment of products and services  Experience in conducting feasibility studies Knowledge/Ability/Skills: Knowledge of various fields within the travel industry, ideally within operations, sales or marketing within an Airline, Hotel or service industry   Knowledge of advanced industry practices, including the operating knowledge of systems, processes & procedures, both back and front office operations of airlines Project Management skills

We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66.
